KIDS FOR HEALTH PROGRAM

UAMS AHEC-SW provides the state-recognized Kids for Health© curriculum to various schools in the community. The concept of K4H is to integrate wellness into key subject areas within the core school curriculum. UAMS AHEC-SW staff have been trained to present the curriculum to grades K-5. In addition to the wellness topics presented, a health care professional talks about his/her role in the health care setting. This allows students to learn about the multiple jobs available in health care. Below are a few photos of the different presentations. For more information on the Kids for Health program, please contact Kandis Wilborn, Public Health Educator.
