CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION PROGRAM

Re-licensing Requirements

The AMA requires 24 credit hours per year. There must be 12 hours of Category I with 1 hour of Ethics plus 12 hours of either Category I or II due at the end of the year for Texas Licensure.
Arkansas Licensure requires 20 hours of either Category I or II.

“The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.”

 

DESIGNATION OF CREDIT:

 “The UAMS College of Medicine Office of Continuing Medical Education designates this activity for a maximum 1  hour(s) category 1 credits towards the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the activity.”

 

DISCLOSURE POLICY:

“It is the policy of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Medicine to ensure balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor in all sponsored or jointly sponsored educational activities.
