Teens with the BEAT
The
TEENS WITH THE BEAT
are youth-based groups that work to reduce tobacco use
in their schools and communities.
Each TWTB group receives an 8-hour training on the
history of tobacco, the dangers of tobacco and
secondhand smoke, youth leadership and peer-to-peer
advocacy, and drug and alcohol abuse prevention. Each
group elects a president, vice-president and secretary
as key leaders. TWTB develop and implement activities
for their schools and communities and take part in BEAT
Tobacco Control events like Kick Tobacco Day Carnival
and the World No Tobacco Day block party. Below are
photos of different TWTB groups and events.
